Computer Business Consultants hosts the Florida Police Chief’s Luncheon

Computer Business Consultants partnered with Clermont Police Chief Chuck Broadway to sponsor the Florida Police Chief’s Luncheon. The event was held on September 8th at the Clermont Performing Arts Center. President and CEO of Computer Business Consultants, Clinton Pownall, was the event’s main speaker.

An ally and supporter of law enforcement, Mr. Pownall said, “I have great respect for what you do, what the officers do, what everybody in law enforcement does.” He presented tips for police departments and other law enforcement agencies on how to pass the CJIS Technical Audit. Other cybersecurity issues discussed include the timeline of a ransomware attack. Mr. Pownall invites all officers to reach out to Computer Business Consultants for any assistance with CJIS Technical Audits and other Municipal IT cybersecurity issues.

Clinton Pownall is the President & CEO of Computer Business Consultants, an Orlando, Florida based IT Solutions provider that specializes in regulatory compliance IT support, managed IT support, backup and disaster recovery, cloud services, and cybersecurity.

Mr. Pownall served in the United States Navy for six years as a Weapons Systems Technician. He went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and entered the Corporate IT world in 1990. Mr. Pownall is actively involved with the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and is a cybersecurity consultant for state agencies and private businesses. He is a member of the Florida Police Chiefs and Florida Sheriff’s Association.
