ORLANDO, Florida, June 12, 2004 IT solutions provider, Computer Business Consultants, Inc., has just completed the area's first successful implementation of a Voice over IP (VoIP) solution, which will help the Philippines push to stimulate economic growth through the development of a $2.5M telemarketing enterprise.

"VoIP allows analog signals to be converted to digital Internet Protocol. In business practice, its usage is fairly new, and this is the first instance that I know of [the technology] being used to facilitate communications for a remote call center," said Clinton Pownall, President of Computer Business.
According to Pownall, U.S.-based call centers are doubly challenged with rising labor costs and long distance phone charges. The profit margin is slim, at best, and revenue hinges upon too many market variables, which are especially volatile in an unpredictable economy.
"The cost-saving potential for employing this technology in a call center environment is enormous," Pownall continued, "and in most cases companies will see a return on their initial investment within the first year."
Telecommunications expressed delight over the technology's seamless rollout. Pownall explained the development process.
