Problem:  How do Prevent users from changing the My Documents Path?

Cause: When installing a PC in a network server environment it is desirable to change the My Documents path to a network share to the Server for security and backups.

Solution:

There are 2 methods:

1. You can use the Group Policy editor (Gpedit.msc) under the following location to configure Start menu features:
   User Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Start Menu and Taskbar
   
   
2. In regedit go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
   Create a new DWORD "DisablePersonalDirChange" with the value of 1.
    
   To automate this download and install 2002121201.reg
